Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!! Christmas is the season for giving and being thankful. What are you thankful for? What can you give to someone in your blended family that you may have been at odds with? What about a simple Merry Christmas for the ones who do not speak to each other or ever have kind words to say? Most people are in good spirits during the holidays so this is an excellent opportunity to open the door to forgiveness, grace & mercy!

Sesame Street

So on the news today they were talking about Sesame Street and how they were having episodes discussing divorce because of the issues that children are having. People were debating about this. This is my thought and the reason behind Blended 4 A Purpose, we can argue the fact about what should or should not happen but the fact is it is here, it's in our life, so what can we do about it now and maybe, just maybe how we deal with it will have huge impact on our children, the people around us, and the cycle will not be repeated or with less damage. We have to make that choice, and sometimes our choices causes us to step outside of ourselves.

How to deal

I need your input. Received an email from a woman who has been married for a year and since her marriage, her husband ha not been able to see his 2 children because their mother does not like the wife. Your thoughts........

Unlikely Friendship

It is so amazing when you sit back and think about where God has brought you from! I'm in awe of where God has brought me and my kids mother from. Our relationship has been a roller coaster ride for almost 20 yrs, to say the least, But God! The both of us recently decided to make a change and stop the bs, be mature women, be genuine, and focus on our common goal, the best for our kids. So many years had past with us "acting" but inside & to the people closest to us, it was something different. The sad part is that through all of our "acting" our kids saw through it. The other day we had a conversation that had nothing to do with the kids, we were actually being friends and it didn't feel weird, Go figure! I'm not saying that it isn't hard to have and maintain a relationship with the "other" woman, on both parts, but we must step outside of ourselves and who knows what may happen. #BLENDED4APURPOSE
